Rarely am i able to anticipate what “attack animation” they preform. It’s how the enemies fight with fluidity and vigor. Played some of the other hot VR combat games but there is one thing that makes HellSplit stick out more than the rest. Maces have a little bit of a drag on the head of it and it really makes it feel like this weapon could easily smash someones head in. Also another thing I love is how the swords and weapons feel like they have weight to them. The bosses are also really fun I don’t wanna spoil it but I will say out of the 3 ive fought thus far they can be pretty brutal especially the third one. Some levels genuinely posed a challenge especially when multiple of those knights covered head to foot with armor start showing up. Jerez’s ArenaĪnd overall why I love this game compared to the others is the Enemies don’t just die in two hits(unless you hit them in the head or something) you can cut off their arms and legs and sometimes they keep going. Its visuals are amazing, The zombies look disgusting upon really looking at them. Ive tried Gorn, B&S, and now this and this one is easily my favorite.
This is probably my favorite VR Sword Fighting game. However I will be using it as a comparison game in some things so you can have a better understanding if you have played that game before. This game has been compared to games like Blade and Sorcery in many ways even though it’s quiet different in many other aspects. You will be fighting an army of the undead using many different Medieval weapons such as swords, shields, maces, poison fire and many other things. It has been described as a VR horror-slasher set in the Middle Ages. Hellsplit: Arena is a wave slasher with a story.
It is gruesome and realistic, with stabbing, cutting and blunt blows, grabs, kicks, and movement tactics – the outcome of each fight depends only on your skill and endurance. Hellsplit: Arena is a VR horror-slasher in the dark fantasy world of the late Middle Ages filled with the undead. While Blade and Sorcery has set the blueprint and is undoubtedly the mother of physics-based melee combat games in VR, Hellsplit: Arena is right there as the Father of the genre. Getting a weapon hit in a semi-realistic way is incredibly difficult to pull off and getting the enemies to respond in a believable way to the impact is even harder. There are so many games that claim realistic physics, but very few execute them in satisfying ways.
